Teaching Philosophy

Janisse has a unique passion for teaching piano.  She strongly believes in the development of the well rounded music student by implementing technique, diverse genres of repertoire, sight-reading, theory, musicianship (ear training), and performance skills.  Her philosophy promotes a life long skill, independent learning, and passion for the art of music.  She believes students should be challenged to perform at their fullest potential.  She also strongly encourages her students to participate in community service activities that promote education, performance, and community outreach.
